Following the spectroscopic classification of SN 2025bvm by C. Balcon (2025TNSCR.729....1B) and C. Fremling et al. (2025TNSCR.805....1F), we report the spectral observation of this Type Ia SN discovered in NGC 4156 (z=0.022617 from SDSS DR13, 2016 via NED).
Two optical spectrograms (range 340-800 nm; resolution 1.1 nm) of 1200s and 900s each, were obtained on Feb. 28, 2025 with the Telescopio Nazionale Galileo TNG (+ DOLORES spectrograph). The spectra confirm that SN 2025bvm is Type Ia SN, about one week before maximum light, as reported by TNS Classification Report No. 20432 and TNS Classification Report No. 20481. The expansion velocity deduced from the Si II 635.5 nm is about 12600 km/s.
The classification was performed using the GELATO (Harutyunyan et al. 2008, A&A, 488, 383).
