Photometric follow-up of SN2024adhf/Gaia25aao with BHTOM.space global telescope network

Abstract:
We report on the optical photometric follow-up of SN2024adhf/Gaia25aao conducted with the BHTOM.space global telescope network.

The BHTOM.space network coordinated an observing campaign to monitor SN2024adhf/Gaia25aao, Type Ia nearby supernova, reported as GOTO24iqy by GOTO survey, at z=0.0225. Observations commenced on Jan 6th, 2025, shortly after the supernova was reported by the Gaia Science Alerts group, and continued through March 11th, 2025. During this period, 182 measurements were obtained using multiple telescopes. Photometric data were taken in various filters and subsequently transformed into Gaia Synthetic Photometry (GaiaSP) for consistency.

Our data exhibit the second peak in brightness in r- and i-bands at around Jan 12th 2025, confirming photometrically the SN2024adhf is indeed Type Ia supernova. Our data complement that of ATLAS (in orange and cyan bands) and g-band-only observations from the ZTF survey.
