Date Received (UTC): 2020-04-29 08:13:21 Sender: Andrea Pastorello
Group: NUTS2
Andrea Reguitti (Univ. Andres Bello), Andrea Pastorello (INAF-OAPd), Nancy Elias-Rosa (INAF-OAPd), I. Salmaso (INAF-OAPd), G. Valerin (INAF-OAPd), R. Kotak (Turku University), M. Fraser (UCD) report/s a classification of object: AT 2020hat
Type: LRNRedshift: 0.002248
Remarks: The spectrum is consistent with that of a luminous red nova after maximum light.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2020-04-17 00:28:48
Instrument: ALFOSC
Telescope: Nordic Optical Telescope
Remarks: The spectrum shows a relatively red continuum (T~4800 K) and a very weak unresolved Halpha, with narrow P-Cygni profile. The H&K doublet and the near-infrared triplet of Ca II are prominent in absorption.
