Wright (University of Minnesota) report/s a classification of object: SN 2021bhd

Type: SN Ib/c
Redshift: 0.006

Remarks: The spectrum is red, showing Si II, O I and broad Ca II features adopting the host galaxy redshift of z=0.006. Classifications were done using GELATO (Harutyunyan et al., 2008, A&A, 488, 383). The spectrum shows a good match with SN 2007uy (Ib-pec) at +15d and SN 1996aq (Ic) at +20d. The phase has a mismatch compared to the light curve. The prominent Na I D absorption indicates significant host reddening. After correcting the spectrum for reddening (assuming Av from 1 to 2 mag), we get a better match with earlier phases. A good match is obtained with SN 1997X (Ic) at +10d, and with SN1997B (Ic) at +4.
