Giacomo Terreran (LCO), D. Andrew Howell (LCO/UCSB), Curtis McCully (LCO), Megan Newsome (LCO/UCSB), Estefania Padilla Gonzalez (LCO/UCSB), Joseph Farah (LCO/UCSB) report/s a classification of object: SN 2024ezl

Type: SN Ia
Redshift: 0.055

Remarks: The spectrum is consistent with a "normal" type Ia SN ~1 week before maximum light. SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024) suggests a redshift of 0.055. Assuming this redshift, an expansion velocity of about 11,000 km/s is derived from the position of the minimum of the Si II 635.5 nm feature.

The following Classification spectrum was provided:

Obsdate: 2024-03-28 09:43:26
