TNS Classification Report No. 20561 [ 2025TNSCR.960....1G ]
Date Received (UTC): 2025-03-11 10:35:48 Sender: Sebastian Gomez
Group: FLEET
Sebastian Gomez (Harvard CfA), Peter Blanchard (Harvard CfA), Daichi Hiramatsu (Harvard CfA), Harsh Kumar (Harvard CfA), Edo Berger (Harvard CfA), Suvi Gezari (STScI) report/s a classification of object: TDE 2024ule
Type: TDE-H-HeRedshift: 0.111
Remarks: 2024ule was selected as a possible TDE by our FLEET program with a P(TDE) = 0.97 (Gomez et al., 2023, ApJ, 949, 113). The redshift of z = 0.111 was determined from Ca H & K absorption lines. We determine the source is consistent with being a TDE given the presence of strong Helium, and broad H-alpha. We find a close match to the known TDE 2019vcb.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2025-01-05 00:00:00
Instrument: BINOSPEC
Telescope: MMT Observatory 6.5m
