Date Received (UTC): 2024-10-09 13:37:19 Sender: Marco A. Gómez-Muñoz
Group: CET-3PO
Marco A. Gómez-Muñoz (ICCUB), Nadejda Blagorodnova (UB), David Jones (IAC), , Hugo Tranin, Gerard García, Grace Katusiime, Maxime Wavasseur (ICCUB) report/s a classification of object: SN 2024xhe
Type: SN IaRedshift: 0.02
Remarks: The classification was carried out using the GELATO SN classification software (Harutyunyan et al., 2008, A&A, 488, 383; https://gelato.tng.iac.es/). We dithered the redshift for the host galaxy resulting in z=0.02+-0.014. The observed spectrum shows a 90% match with SN Ia templates. The best matching spectrum corresponds to SN2023kf Ia at ~7.1d after explosion.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2024-10-07 05:43:43
Instrument: SPRAT
Telescope: Liverpool Telescope
