Date Received (UTC): 2025-03-06 01:45:48 Sender: Regis Cartier
Group: None
R. Cartier (U. de Antofagasta), J.L. Prieto, E. Hueichapan (UDP), J. Schulte (MSU) and J. Espinoza (SOAR) report/s a classification of object: AT 2025dhz
Type: NA/UnknownRedshift: 0.0018
Remarks: We obtained two optical spectra of AT 2025dhz on the outskirts of NGC 5128 (Centaurus A) during the night of March 4, 2025 with Goodman at SOAR telescope. The spectra are noisy, but they show broad hydrogen lines with a FWHM of 2000-3000 km/s. AT 2025dhz seems to be consistent with a CV in Centaurus A as reported in the AstroNote 2025-78. Follow-up observations are encouraged.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2025-03-05 02:49:48
Instrument: Goodman
Telescope: Southern Astrophysical Research Telescope
