Panos Charalampopoulos (UTU) report/s a classification of object: SN 2025qfc
Type: SN Ia-91T-likeRedshift: 0.135
Remarks: We report the classification of AT2025qfc as a Ia supernova based on an optical spectrum obtained with the Nordic Optical Telescope on 2025-07-17 (i.e., MJD 60874.08). The transient is coincident with the nucleus of the host galaxy. Comparison with a library of supernovae spectra using SNID (Blondin & Tonry 2007, ApJ, 666, 1024), suggests AT2025qfc is an around peak SN Ia 91-T-like at a redshift of z~0.135.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2025-07-18 02:00:52
Instrument: ALFOSC
Telescope: Nordic Optical Telescope
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://sandbox.wis-tns.org/object/2025qfc
