Group: ZTF
Jacob Wise (LJMU), Daniel Perley (LJMU), K-Ryan Hinds (LJMU), Aleksandra Bochenek (LJMU), Zoe McGrath (LJMU), Ping Chen (Zhejiang), Joel Johansson (OKC) report/s a classification of object: SN 2025xju
Type: SN Ia-SCRedshift: 0.043
Remarks: Spectrum appears similar to previously classified SN Ia-03fg-like events such as SN 2009dc, SN 2021zny and SN 2022ilv. A spectral template fit using Next Generation Superfit (NGSF, Goldwasser et al. 2022) estimates a redshift of z = 0.043 ± 0.008. Additional follow-up is encouraged to refine the transient's redshift.
The following Classification spectrum was provided:
Obsdate: 2025-09-21 21:16:10
Instrument: SPRAT
Telescope: Liverpool Telescope
Details of the object and its spectra can be viewed here: https://sandbox.wis-tns.org/object/2025xju
