Type: SN Icn
Redshift: 0.0195

Remarks: Spectrum displays strong P-Cygni features of C II, C III and C IV, along with a lack of H and He, consistent with the classification of SN Icn. A redshift of z = 0.0195 was measured using narrow calcium Fraunhofer H and K absorption, as well as narrow H-alpha emission, from the host. We note that at 85 Mpc this is the closest SN Icn since SN 2019jc. Additional details are given in AstroNote 2026-180.
